Purpose. Licensed electricians and technicians use this template to record mandatory test results and commissioning readings for electrical, solar and refrigeration installations before certification.

1.Purpose

This sheet is the primary record of the tests performed on an installation. It supports the certificate of electrical safety and is attached to the compliance register entry for the job. Results are recorded as measured values, with the instrument used.

2.Electrical tests

Record the circuit designation, protective device rating, cable size, earth continuity, insulation resistance, polarity, fault loop impedance and residual current device trip time for every circuit installed or altered. Record the standard's minimum or maximum value beside each result.

3.Solar and battery tests

For photovoltaic arrays record each string's open circuit voltage, short circuit current, insulation resistance and polarity, and the irradiance and temperature at the time. Record the inverter settings and the battery commissioning checks.

4.Refrigeration commissioning

Record suction and discharge pressures, superheat, subcooling, ambient and space temperatures, compressor current, refrigerant type and charge, and the leak test result after charging.

5.Declaration

The licensed electrician or technician signs to declare that the tests were carried out with the instruments listed and that the results are as recorded. Apprentices who assisted are named but do not sign the declaration.
